New (things) year 2011

We are going to make a few changes this year. If I can get through an administrative misunderstanding with Cycling BC, we will ask them to sanction our events. This means riders who are not members of our club will be allowed to race in the events we organize (with the help of other clubs their and our volunteers). This will reduce/simplify our administration. Like last year, all riders/racers will have to have a race license (minimum Citizen License). Sign –on volunteers will not be taking membership applications. If you show up with a BCMCA number for 2011 you will pay the same entry fee your have been for years. No number and you will pay $5 more (you have a ¼ year to get your number before the 1^st race). For those great clubs that put their volunteers to work on Masters’ events, you take ½ of all of the events revenue. We will invite Cycling BC to sell race licenses at the events, but there is no guarantee they will do that, so get your race license before you show up to race.

Our 2011 calendar/schedule of events is now available. The days are getting longer and the next 90 days will be gone soon. I look forward to seeing you then
