# 2019-04-06 - Bradner Long BC Cup April 06, 2019, Escape Velocitys BC Cup race on the Bradner Long West place in cool and dry conditions. Nigel Kinney from Langlois Brown took the win in the Cat 1/2 Open category 130km race. Claire Cameron from Fluevog's Crit Nasty took the win in the Cat 1/2 Womens category 100km race. The Bradner Long venue is an extended version of the old North Bradner race adding 3km and another 30m of climbing with a long slightly uphill finish. The Bradner courses are rolling with no long climbs, and one very short sprint climb. ### Cat 1/2 Open Nigel Kinney from Langlois Brown and Grant Gill from Mighty Cycling put an early stamp on the field twenty riders, getting away in the first lap. Jackson Bocksnick from Glotman Simpson Cycling bridged across an over three minute gap in laps 3 and 4 to join them. They stayed away for the rest of the race. At the finish it was Kinney over Gill in a sprint finish, with Bocksnick coming in a minute later. ### Cat 1/2 Women The Cat 1/2 Womens field had twelve starters. Claire Cameron from Fluevog's Crit Nasty, Sonia Taylor from Glotman Simpsons and Carolyn Russell getting away in the third lap. Cameron finished first with a gap of seven minutes. Taylor was second, Russel was third (a lap down.) ### Masters Open The Masters Open saw a strong field of 23 riders start. Jeffery Werner from Langlois Brown and Matt Usborne independant getting a break in the third lap. Scott Goguen independant and Vincent Marcotte from Langlois Brown bridging the just under two minute gap in lap five. That group stayed away with Werner taking an easy win over Usborne. With Marcotte and Goguen trailing in for third and fourth. ### Cat 3 Open Twenty riders lined up in the Cat 3 open field. That was whittled down to about ten for a two up sprint with Declan Kelly independant taking first and Travis Tomlin from PenderFund p/b Neighbourhood Housing taking second.
